The native Buckeye tree is in bud and will bloom in a few days. It has been in our garden about 10 years now....a gift from an elderly friend, now deceased. It was a small 10 inch sprout from her tree, which she had collected from a nearby mountain. It has produced a couple of buckeyes the past two years....so prehaps it is reaching maturity.
